Stick to soft foods for several days, gradually reintroducing regular diet as healing progresses. Avoid strenuous activity for at least 24 hours to prevent bleeding. Stick to soft, cool foods initially. Don’t smoke, as this dramatically increases complication risk. Sleep with your head elevated. After 24 hours, gently rinse with warm salt water after meals.
